Based on a personal study, I have discovered at least four categories of parents pursuing different schools of thoughts when it comes to Whiz Kids. Here are some Whiz Kids tips that may greatly enhance your child development:
A) Some parents with the first school of thoughts, think their children can be a genius but refrain from exposing such because of their humility and their attempt not to offend others by blowing their own trumpet about the potential of their children. While the intent is plausible here, the end can be disastrous. Do you know someone who fits that profile? Stay tuned for the BAFU tips below.
B) Some parents in the second school of thoughts, do no think their children can be a genius due to lack of information about the potential of their children. While ignorance may be a bliss, here, it can be a sheer malediction; for the child or children may suffer intellectual malnutrition and intellectual anorexia may be for the rest of their lives. You see, failing to recognize the size of a person will lead to the wrong kind and quantity of food that can nourish such person. Ignoring the potential of little children can be dangerous even to our society in the future. You may know someone who meets those criteria above and at the end of this blog or article, you will be given the opportunity to comment or share your views.
C) Some parents in the third category think their children cannot be a genius based on a complex of inferiority, they believe the other child next door may be a genius not their own. They were not exposed to life as a genius and they passed to their children only what they have received, unchanged. And, life goes on with many unsung heroes, forgotten children with extraordinary talents that are left behind because of ordinary parents who failed to exploit the genius in their children. To such parents, I would love to share the idea of breaking the cycle of ignorance in your child's life. Give them what you didn't have. break the cycle of inferiority for it is an undeniable truth that we are all endowed with innate qualities ready to exhale. Give your children's minds room to grow and they will go where you have never been before. Do you know someone or some people that could be part of this group?
D) Today, I want to tip my hat to the parents in the fourth group, the category of parents that believes that their children are extraordinary and they make all sorts of concerted efforts to expose those innate attributes in their children. Blessed are parents who desire to shape the future by shaping the child's mind. Blessed are the parents that practice early detection of latent talents in their children, for theirs will be the reward of a bright future ahead. Blessed are the parents who make it their aim to stroke their children every day till the genius comes out, for theirs will be prosperity and longevity of destiny. Blessed are those parents who entertain great audiences with their children in the attempt to discover their inner potential and inclinations for theirs will be the sight of world-changing greatness ahead. This is the group that believes in the potential of their children, that seek to discover that potential well and that exposes that potential, once properly identified. They are the most blessed parents because their children will rise to laud them as their heroes, the wind beneath their wings that propelled them to become the next President of the United States, the next Supreme Court Justice, the next Attorney General, the next Surgeon General, the next Nobel Prize winner among many other world-changing functions and positions in the future. Early detection leads to early discovery as in the case of Cancer. This works for cure and prevention as it works for development and greatness. What can early detection do? It indicates the presence of something beneath that may not be visible to the naked eye. And who is the most qualified person to detect innate talents and the genius in a child? The future of America depends largely on the way we treat our children today. If we want a prosperous and bright education in America for our future, we must treat, support, reward and empower parents, teachers , church leaders, and community leaders to do a great job for the children. We must also put our money where our mouth is. If we want dedicated teachers to sustain the parents work at home, the, we must compensate them adequately. The sport's celebrity, the super star in Hollywood, although I respect and applaud their achievements greatly, are not the ones to shape the future of our children. Therefore, can't we raise the standard of pay for our teachers so they can be empowered and encouraged to do a little better for our children. We must take a second look at our priorities when it comes to education if we will make the cut in the future. I believe by changing our point of view, we can change our viewpoint.
Recently, I was watching the news on the Internet, and I saw an article referring to the new plan that the President was exposing to some schools about education. If my recollection is correct, Mr. Obama wanted to extend the school hours for our children. I could not be more excited to hear such a major departure from the past and such refreshing idea that can revolutionize our education system in America. I believe this would enhance greatly our children's appetite for education the same way my appetite for Ocra was changed when my mother fried the slimy taste and look to extinction. Let us support our President's concept as a major step toward fixing our educational challenges and our educational ranking around the world.
Here are four tips from my copyrighted volume MAXICLOPEDIA, that can assist you in extracting the genius from your child's mind as they pursue excellence toward their highest calling in life:
TIP # 1: THE HOME - this is the first place where the child needs to be stroked, encouraged and fortified mentally to resist the onslaught of negative influences and to focus on what is most important in life which is the inner working of a beautiful mind. Therefore, we need a mindshift. While we are making some serious investment in the educational system, we should never forget that apart from the home front, the child's mind will continue with a hole in the future. We should endeavor to equip and reward parents to do a super job in raising their children consistently. The home must remain the central point of focus if we are to shift our educational direction. So, help make your home the first center to harness your kids' genius by exposing what they have inside and reward your children in the home for becoming the center pieces of this central place. Then, watch an educational explosion right where you live dear parents. I was talking to a parent recently and I exchanged this basic formula with her. I said to her, use the loose-tight control with your children and pake them qualified participants in the decision-making process then, watch them return the control back to you, as it is rightfully yours as parents. This is what you can do in the home that will fertilize the development of innate qualities in your child's mind.
TIP #2: THE SCHOOL - Needless to elaborate much on the importance of the school system. For without this there would be a missing link in the developmental chain which would render the whole chain ineffective and weak. The school plays a major role and teachers are the ones on stage in that system. At this point, I must pause to salute teachers and the dedicated and untiring efforts they are releasing every day to insure the quality of education our children receive. Let us train our children to respect their teachers regardless of inadequacies, unpreparedness and misbehaviors. If they do not respect their teachers in the school system, it is a reflection on the quality of respect they have at home. In my coaching sessions for whiz kids, I discussed in depth the development of a child as a peace-broker between the school and the home instead of encouraging parents to attend a parent-teacher's meeting to defend their child's behavior or misbehavior at all cost. this creates not only a tensed relationship between parents and the school but it destroys the sense of respect in the child as it creates also a nation of war-like children in the future thinking that the world owes them something and if they don't get their way always, they can bully even a grown-up to please their fancies. This is not the leadership our children need. Respect is first and foremost and the kind that allows for freedom of speech from the child as well as limiting their license to disrespect their superiors with impunity. On the other hand, WhizKids discourages abuses from the teachers by rewarding teachers that promote a conducive environment for learning and interpersonal relationships for the effective development of our children. All in all, the child needs to know that he or she is loved in the home and the school where they attend. TIP #3 THE CHURCH - Most people consider the church as the last place where their child's education can be sharpened and develop. It is just a matter of perception. For many, the church is a place for pulpits and pews
where puppets and a few congregate like a social club for a social occasion. Nothing could be further from the truth. The church, for those who attend, is a place where your children can receive mental fortitude for tough times ahead and a sense of morality in such a fast-changing immoral society in which we live. The church is a place for instructions that can reinforce the principles inculcated in the home. The church is a place for direction in the future where our children receive a sense of leadership. The church is a place for correction in an era when everything is going wrong in our society. the church is a place for discipline in our children's lives. the church is a vital place for wholeness in our children. To be properly reinforced, one should not discard the church as irrelevant. TIP # 4 THE COMMUNITY - Where you live may not be the best area you think, however, you can make the best out of it. For it is not where you live that matters but what live in you. You may have lost a battle but you have not lost the war.
